1. Scope and roles
When you browse our marketing site, request a demo, apply for a job, or create a workspace account, Sonicbean acts as a controller (or comparable term under applicable law) for the personal information you provide to us. When a customer uses Sonicbean to collect product analytics from end users of the customer’s applications, Sonicbean processes that Customer Data on the customer’s instructions as a processor or service provider. The customer is responsible for notices and any required consents. This Privacy Policy does not replace the customer’s own privacy policy.

2.2 Information collected automatically

Cookies and similar technologies support site operation, authentication, preferences, and aggregate site analytics.
2.3 Customer Data

Customers remain responsible for establishing a lawful basis for Customer Data they submit about end users.

7. Data retention
We retain account and billing information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements. Customer Data retention follows the customer’s plan settings and our agreements with the customer; customers may request deletion subject to technical and legal limitations. Marketing site analytics and logs are retained for limited periods appropriate to security and operational needs.
8. Security
We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including access controls, encryption in transit, and monitoring.
